Terms of Service
Last updated: June 12, 2026
Welcome to Qur'anic Study Online, operated by Nihda LLC (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By accessing or using this platform (the “Service”), you agree to these Terms of Service (“Terms”). If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
1. Description of Service
Qur'anic Study Online is an independent educational technology platform focused on Qur'an learning for children and teens — Arabic recitation and memorization with translation, age-based guided lessons, and adaptive quizzes across all 114 surahs. The Service may include audio recitation, text lessons, quizzes, progress tracking, bookmarks, memorization notes, and digital certificates.
2. Eligibility
- You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction) to create an account directly.
- Children under 13. We recommend that children under 13 not register directly. A parent, guardian, or authorized teacher should create and manage the account, including any student learning profiles.
- If you are under 18, you should use the Service with parental or guardian permission.
- You are responsible for ensuring that your use of the Service complies with applicable laws in your country or region.
3. Accounts and security
- You must provide accurate registration information and keep your login credentials secure.
- Accounts may require administrator approval before access is granted.
- Students see courses and lessons matched to their assigned age group, class, and enrollment.
- Teachers may create and manage content only for age groups they are authorized to teach.
- You are responsible for all activity under your account and any student profiles you manage.
- Notify us immediately through our Contact Us page if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a security risk.
4. School and teacher use
If you are a teacher, school, or district using Qur'anic Study Online for classroom learning, you represent that you have the legal authority from your school or district to use an external software vendor for student learning and progress tracking. Where required by law — including FERPA in the United States — you must ensure appropriate parental notice, school approval, and data privacy agreements are in place before uploading or tracking identifiable student information.
5. Parent and consumer use
If you are a parent or guardian using Qur'anic Study Online for home learning, you are responsible for supervising your child's use of the platform and for any subscription or payment obligations associated with your account.
6. Free and premium access
- Some courses and features are available free of charge. Free access may include selected surahs, lessons, or limited platform features as shown on the site.
- Premium access — including additional courses, full platform features, and advanced learning tools — requires an active subscription unless explicitly offered as free.
- We may change which content is free or premium, or adjust free preview limits, with reasonable notice where required. We will not remove free access to content that was explicitly promised as permanently free without notice.
7. Subscriptions, billing, and payments
- Paid access is provided through platform subscription plans (for example, monthly or yearly billing) unless explicitly offered as a one-time purchase or free enrollment.
- Subscription fees, billing intervals, and features are shown at checkout, on the subscription page, and in your account settings.
- Payments are processed by third-party payment providers (such as Stripe). Their terms may also apply to your purchase. We do not store full payment card details on our servers.
- Automatic renewal. Recurring plans (such as monthly or yearly subscriptions) automatically renew at the end of each billing period unless you cancel before the renewal date.
- Cancellation. You may manage or cancel subscriptions through your account settings or the payment provider's customer portal. Access generally continues until the end of the current paid billing period unless otherwise stated.
- Failed payments. If a renewal payment fails, premium access may be suspended until payment is resolved.
- Prices may change for new purchases or future renewal periods with reasonable notice where required by law. Existing subscriptions renew at the price shown at checkout unless you are notified otherwise before renewal.
- Refunds, if any, are handled according to the plan, payment provider policies, and applicable law.
8. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful, harmful, or abusive purpose.
- Share account credentials, impersonate others, or attempt to access courses or data you are not authorized to view.
- Copy, scrape, crawl, bulk-download, harvest, redistribute, reverse-engineer, or commercially exploit course content, question banks, or other proprietary materials without written permission.
- Attempt to bypass paywalls, access controls, subscription checks, or security measures.
- Use automated bots, scripts, or similar tools to extract content or interfere with platform operation.
- Upload malware, submit false information, or store unlawful or infringing material in notes or other user fields.
- Interfere with platform security, other users, or the learning experience.
- Upload content that is offensive, infringing, or inappropriate for an educational environment.
9. Content and educational disclaimer
Course materials are provided for educational and devotional purposes. While we strive for accuracy and quality, we do not guarantee that all content is complete, error-free, or suitable for every learner without review. Use of Qur'anic Study Online does not guarantee any particular academic or religious outcome.
Qur'an and Islamic learning content is prepared with reference to authentic sources and aims to present widely accepted knowledge suitable for learners. Qur'anic Study Online does not represent any specific madhab. Parents, guardians, and teachers are encouraged to review content and consult qualified scholars for religious guidance specific to their family or institution.
10. Intellectual property
The platform, branding, software, course structure, lessons, quizzes, explanations, and original materials are owned by Nihda LLC or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. Qur'anic text, translations, recitation audio, and scholarly references remain the property of their respective authors, translators, reciters, and publishers where applicable.
You receive a limited, personal, non-transferable, non-commercial license to access content for your own learning or authorized teaching use while your account and subscription (if applicable) remain active. You may not reproduce, publish, sell, or create derivative works from our proprietary materials except as expressly permitted.
11. User content and learning data
The Service may store learning progress, quiz responses, memorization status, bookmarks, notes, certificates, and similar data you generate while using the platform (“User Content”).
- You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant us a limited license to store, process, display, and sync this data solely to provide and improve the Service.
- You are solely responsible for the content of any notes or text you enter. Do not store unlawful, harmful, or infringing material.
- We may remove User Content that violates these Terms or applicable law.
12. Certificates
Certificates issued upon course completion confirm progress within Qur'anic Study Online. They may be verified through our certificate verification page. Certificates do not constitute formal accreditation unless explicitly stated.
13. Disclaimers
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant uninterrupted, secure, or error-free operation of the Service. We are not responsible for temporary unavailability due to maintenance, updates, network issues, or events beyond our reasonable control.
14. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Nihda LLC and Qur'anic Study Online are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including lost profits, data, goodwill, opportunities, or disappointing learning outcomes — arising from your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amounts you paid us in the twelve (12) months before the claim, or (b) fifty US dollars (USD $50).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; in those cases, our liability is limited to the fullest extent permitted by applicable law.
15. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. You may cancel subscriptions through your account or the payment provider's customer portal.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, fail to pay applicable fees, or pose a risk to the platform or other users, with notice where practicable.
Upon termination, your right to use premium features ends. Provisions that should survive termination — including payment obligations, intellectual property, disclaimers, and limitations of liability — will remain in effect.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
17. Governing law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable in the jurisdiction where Nihda LLC operates, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your country require otherwise.
Before filing a formal dispute, please contact us so we can try to resolve the issue informally.
