Surah An-Nas — Allah Protects Me

Assalamu alaikum, my dear little stars! ⭐

Today we are learning about a very special Surah called Surah An-Nas. An-Nas means “mankind” or “people.” This Surah teaches us that Allah takes care of all people.

Surah An-Nas helps us remember that Allah is stronger than anything that makes us feel scared.

🌙

Sometimes we may feel afraid of the dark.

🔊

Sometimes we may hear a loud sound and feel worried.

💭

Sometimes we may have a bad dream.

When that happens, Allah has given us beautiful words to say. Surah An-Nas is one of those special Surahs.

1. Allah Is My Rabb

Rabb means Lord

In Surah An-Nas, we ask Allah for protection by saying that He is the Rabb of mankind. Allah is our Rabb because He made us, owns everything, and takes care of us.

  • Allah gives food to the birds.
  • Allah gives rain to the plants.
  • Allah gives us families, homes, food, and love.
  • Allah takes care of us every day.

When you say, “Allah is my Rabb,” your heart can feel safe because Allah is always watching over you.

2. Allah Is My Malik

Malik means King

Surah An-Nas also teaches us that Allah is the Malik of mankind. Allah is the King of everyone — the sky, the earth, the animals, the oceans, the stars, and all people.

No one is stronger than Allah.

When you feel scared, remember: Allah is my King. Allah is stronger than everything. Allah can protect me.

3. Allah Is My Ilah

Ilah means the One we worship

We pray to Allah. We ask Allah for help. We love Allah. We trust Allah. Allah is the only One who deserves our worship.

4. Surah An-Nas Helps Me Feel Safe

🛡️ Surah An-Nas is like a beautiful shield from Allah.

It helps protect our hearts from scary feelings and bad whispers.

A bad whisper is a little thought that tells us to do something wrong, like being mean, not sharing, or not listening. When we say Surah An-Nas, we ask Allah to protect our hearts.

“O Allah, protect me.”

“O Allah, keep my heart safe.”

“O Allah, help me be kind and brave.”

5. Surah An-Nas and Surah Al-Falaq

Surah An-Nas and Surah Al-Falaq are two special Surahs of protection. Together, they are called the Mu‘awwidhatayn.

That is a big word! It means the two Surahs we use to ask Allah for protection.

The Prophet Muhammad ﷺ loved these Surahs and used them for protection.

6. When Can I Recite Surah An-Nas?

  • Before sleeping
  • When you feel scared
  • After a bad dream
  • When you feel worried
  • When you want Allah’s protection
  • When you want your heart to feel calm

7. A Simple Reminder

When I feel scared, I can remember:

Allah is my Rabb. Allah takes care of me.

Allah is my Malik. Allah is the King.

Allah is my Ilah. I worship only Allah.

Allah protects me. 🤲

Conclusion

My dear little stars, Surah An-Nas is a gift from Allah. It helps us feel safe, calm, and brave.

When you recite Surah An-Nas, remember that Allah hears you, loves what is good for you, and is able to protect you.

May Allah keep your hearts happy, safe, and full of light. ⭐
