Surah Al-Falaq — What Birds Teach Us About Trusting Allah

Assalamu Alaikum, my little stars! 🐦

Today we are going to learn a beautiful lesson from Allah’s tiny birds. Have you ever heard birds chirping in the morning? They sound happy when the sun comes up. They flap their wings, fly into the sky, and look for food.

🐦🌅

Birds do not have a kitchen. Birds do not have a refrigerator. Birds do not carry lunch boxes. But every morning, they go out and search. Allah helps them find what they need.

Our beloved Prophet Muhammad, peace and blessings be upon him, taught us that if we truly trust Allah, Allah will provide for us just as He provides for the birds. The birds go out in the morning hungry, and they come back later with full tummies.

A Special Word: Tawakkul

Tawakkul

Tawakkul means trusting Allah.

When a bird leaves its nest, it does not just sit and wait. It flies. It searches. It uses the wings Allah gave it. Then Allah provides for it.

What Can We Learn From the Birds?

  • Allah is our Rabb. Rabb means our Lord, our Creator, our Owner, and the One who takes care of us.
  • Allah takes care of birds, animals, trees, flowers, and all of us.

Words We Can Say

When you wake up in the morning:
“Allah will take care of me.”

If you feel worried:
“Allah knows what I need.”

If you are learning something new:
“I will try my best, and I will trust Allah.”

The Little Bird in Its Nest

Let’s imagine a little bird in its nest. The bird is hungry. It does not cry and give up. It opens its wings and flies. That is a lesson for us. We should also try, learn, share, pray, and trust Allah.

A good Muslim does not say, “I will do nothing.” A good Muslim says, “I will do my best, and I know Allah is helping me.”

Class Activity

Pretend your two hands are wings. Flap your wings gently and say together:

“I trust Allah. I try my best. Allah takes care of me.” 🪽

Little Reminder: The next time you see a bird in the sky, remember that Allah feeds that bird. Allah also takes care of you, your family, your teachers, and all His creation.

Teacher’s Closing Note

My little stars, may Allah make your hearts happy and full of trust. May Allah help you remember that He is always kind, near, and caring. Ameen.
